Grouping, Raiding, and Looting Policies

These rules apply universally to groups consisting solely of Gadarn members. In addition, Group Leaders are encouraged to abide by this policy in “mixed” groups (those including both Gadarn members and pickups from outside of the guild). However, Group Leaders are also responsible for explaining these rules to non-guild-members before beginning an instance or a questing session. Any variance from this policy should be agreed on by all group members before beginning the instance or quests.

The rules are quite simple: Need before Greed.

In 5-man instances and group settings we:

• Need or Greed on all Bind on Equip (even if they are rare) items using the built in game system.
• Need, Greed or Pass on all Bind on Pickup items using the built in game system.
• Assign a group Enchanter, if there is one available.

Need: If you really have use for the item for main spec.
Greed: Only if you are the group Enchanter.
Pass: If you see no use for the item.

If you need a Bind on Pickup item for off-spec please let your group members know and ask politely if you can place a Need on that item. If they agree you can push the Need button.

After the group has finished their adventures the Enchanter disenchants the Bind on Pickup items he received through Greed and distributes them fairly.

In the event that all group member pass on a Bind on Pickup item and there's no group Enchanter available we use the /roll system to declare who will get the item for vendoring purposes.

In 10 or 25-man raids we:

• assign a master looter who distributes items fairly.
• discuss if any members of the raid need the items for primary spec and /roll if so.
• (if not) discuss if any members of the raid want the item for offset and /roll if so.
• (if not) decide wether the item should be disenchanted or not.
• if a raid member has not received a primary spec item, then they have priority over others that have already won primary spec items during that raid session.

Etiquette and Good Practices

• Instance runs can always be made again. Be generous.
• If you are on an alt, give priority to someone playing their main character.
• Do not abstain from rolling “greed” on BoE items out of politeness; remember that those who “need” the item will always be given priority by the game’s loot system.
• It is good form to congratulate the winner of a roll, even if you were hoping to land the item yourself.
• Serenity within the guild is far more more important than any piece of loot.
